Have you ever listened to an album and said to yourself "My friend can sing better than that."? Have you ever listened to a song that isn't good in your opinion yet won a Grammy? The reason is HUSTLE! Any goal / achievement you want, you will need to push and work rapidly towards. If you don't, someone else will. You can't lean on your natural abilities to reach your goal. Dictionary.com defines hustle as to push or force one's way. Another definition is to proceed or work rapidly or energetically. Talent is defined as a special natural ability or aptitude There are many talented artist, singers, musicians, mechanics, and chefs but what makes one artist stand out from another? What makes you more attractive to your client. What makes your client want to do business with you versus your competitor? I would argue your Hustle and Ambition is the difference. So, get out there and make it happen and if you need a graphic artist/ creative partner to spread your message please contact me. I will hustle my talent for your business. Below are the steps I took to get to the final picture you see. Art work done in Illustrator
Today I would like to share with you my process of Designing a Book Cover. I had the privileged to design a book cover for Annie Lee commissioned by Manifold Grace Publishing House. The title of the book is "The Interview: A Divine Meeting with God". It parallels the process of a job interview and interviewing for destiny with God.
I was given a few ideas from the creative brief: "i was thinking about man and a woman standing in front of a huge door - we see them from the back, she wearing a skirt suit, him a suit and the door is the height of the book cover..." I ran with this idea and produced three different book covers. Create a Rectangle 1.) Open a new photoshop file 2.) Select the marquee tool and create a rectangle. 3.) Create a new layer 4.) Double click on the color chip to select the fill color 5.) Switch foreground to background color on the color chips 6.) Then hit ( control + backspace) this should fill the rectangle to the color you selected on its own layer. This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar. Explode your sales with a professional book cover and increase your profits with an E-book cover too. The hundred will cover the design work and formatting it for print and web. If you would like more information please click on the link and fill out the creative brief. Example works are below. Grab the attention of your customers! Stand out from the crowd! Distinguish yourself among the masses! Now,... that's easier said than done. So I have compiled a list of "to do" when creating a flyer for your next event. 1.) Use a Heading: A heading will focus the reader quickly of what is going on in the flyer. With out a header the reader will not be able to quickly identify the reason for the flyer. 2.) Use an image: The image will enforce the headline. It is also the biggest draw to the flyer. A nice picture of an object or person will draw more attention than having many scattered images. If many images need to be placed in the flyer then group them together then create a hierarchy so the viewer knows were to look first. Remember, big images tend to be looked at first. 3.) Use simple fonts for easy reading: Good headings and images will grab and hold the viewers attention to begin reading through the flyer. Use easy to read fonts because this is the important part! Try to keep information concise and to the point. Try to not use more than 3 different fonts in the flyer. 4.) Use colors that will grab attention: Another attention grabbing item is color. Bright colors command attention. If bright colors are not in your theme or color scheme then try using complimentary colors. If you are not sure what colors are complimentary of each other use a color wheel. Below are some examples of flyers created by Creative Logo Art. In the near future the logo store will have a few changes that will be more cost effective for you to establish your logo. accessories for all you techies that use cell phones for everything ie, texting, emailing, web browsing, video chatting, and oh talking. I've found a website that will cut your cost more than half on your cell phone accesories. Cellphoneshop.net As you probably know (if you follow me on facebook), I recently converted from a blackberry to a thunderbolt (android). The thunder bolt is great but it uses up tons of power to operate. I've been through all the power saving tricks. In short, I needed to buy another battery. So I went to the store and they wanted to charge me $50 for a battery on a phone that retails for $600. I guess they think if you can buy a phone for that much you have $50 more for an extra battery. I was able to buy a $50 battery for $8 from cellphone shop. For that price I bought 2. As I searched around the website I couldn't believe the prices they were selling these phone accessories. I also grabbed a phone charger for 3 bucks. Stores around here were trying to charge 12 for it. Warning these products are made in China but they work great. I don't know why I threw the warning in. Everything is made in China now lol. They will ship it directly to you by usps or fedex. I would suggest using fedex you will recieve it in 2 or 3 days. USPS is slow and took about a week. Again check out cellphoneshop.net Let me know what you think of it or if you already know about them. |
